Iona was covered with sheep and it was lambing time so the little guys were everywhere…the beach included.
Cozette and I spent a couple of nights on Iona. A special place….tiny island of of the Island of Mull which is itself a small Island off the west coast of Scotland.
While in Edinburgh Cozette and I were graciously hosted by Jackie and Andrew. They took us on a day trip to Tantallon Castle; a 14th century castle overlooking the Firth of Forth…beautiful place.
A storm approached London late one afternoon making some pretty crazy light fall on Westminster.
OK…my love of this building started after listening to Pink Floyd’s “Animals” about a million times as a teenager…I don’t like the album much anymore but still think Battersea Power Station is just about the coolest.
Back from two weeks in the UK. We went, ostensibly, to show Borderland at the London International Documentary Festival but took the opportunity to stay longer and explore London, Edinburgh, Craignure and Iona. A great trip! The British Museum was just fantastic…I heaved aside concerns about the rightful place for all the antiquities and really enjoyed it.
Cozette and I screened “Borderland” at the London International Documentary Festival Thursday night. The film showed in a series called “Landscape & Memory“.
We had been to a very under attended screening of other films the night before so we were pleasantly surprised to have a full theater and a receptive audience. “Borderland played well and held it’s own in the program (…ok …it did better than hold it’s own…)
We are thrilled to be here and are learning lots about festivals, film and London!
Cozette and I awoke to a bit of good news this morning. Borderland, our film about the inner German border, was accepted into the The London International Documentary Festival.
It’s our first festival invite for the film. Looks like we may go to London!
Cozette and I drove south after New Years…chasing warm weather and exploring. This is in Savannah, GA.
My dog, Maggie, takes on an equestrian statue. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The day before Christmas.
